The Mega Nest

Today the first of many “mega nests” goes up into the trees at our home studio location, Thyme of the Season. The nest measures over 2′ in diameter and weighs more that 50 pounds. Matt cleverly designed and welded the nest out of various sizes and lengths of round bar. It was an undertaking that has taken many weeks to complete.

I have created three baby ravens who will sit in the nest. Each baby is 4″ wide and over 1′ high. And, the mother who swoops in to care for these three little ones is an impressive 24″ long with a wing span of 40″.
